Pushing Forward

May 2017 By Editor

Sometimes pushing forward is the hardest thing you will do. At times it will seem to be the impossible task. Everything is against you, the walls blocking your way are so high and impossible to climb. The finances are a mess, your health has been hit, your job is to demanding, or you’ve been laid off altogether.  The death of your loved one is overwhelming.  Your dreams have just up and died on you, you’re not even sure when that happened. Hope is diminishing. Your faith has taken a hit.

Well I have a secret to tell you.

God is the God of the impossible. He is the lifter of your head. He is your provider, He is your healer. He is your comfort and councilor in dark times. God breathed within you the dreams he has for you, if you look you will find them hidden in your heart.

Okay so maybe this is not such a big secret, maybe God has been telling you these things all along.  Maybe you knew and your hope was so shattered you couldn’t hear him, or wouldn’t hear him.  Well God is speaking to you now.  Pause just for a moment.  Pull your eyes up from their cast-down position and look heavenward, and know this…He will lift you up and over your wall.  He will bring his dreams for you to life.  Trust him once again will you?

God will give you his strength to push forward when yours is not enough. Don’t be frightened, God is with you all the way.

Writers Conference

May 2017 By Editor

I am attending my first writers conference next weekend! It will be both exciting and very busy. I feel God saying that now is the time to push forward with the dream he has put into my heart, no matter how difficult the path.  So here I go! I look forward to learning new things, talking with other writers, agents, as well as publishers and to see what God has in store for my future as an author.  I will keep updating my experiences and let you know what I learn!

No Tears on Heaven’s Shores

May 2017 By Editor

And He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be sorrow and anguish, or crying, or pain; for the former order of things has passed away. And He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also He said, “Write, for these words are faithful and true [they are accurate, incorruptible, and trustworthy].” And He said to me “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the one who thirsts I will give [water] from the fountain of the water of life without cost.

NUTMEG’S CORNER

Editing 101

Rough Day I had a rough day today. Lauren went to work, and no matter how much prancing around I did, she still left. She keeps telling me someone has to bring home the bacon. Sad part is, Lightning loves bacon, not me. The geriatric cat slept all day. I tried to get her to […]
