It will be worth it all

July 2017 By Editor

There are days when all you can think is seriously when will this stop? Days when you just want to drop to your knees and give up, the battle’s to strong, you are to weak, the pain to great, the sorrow to deep. That’s it, that’s all, I’m done…end of story.
Do something with me, if you will. Close your eyes, I dare you.

Imagine heaven. There you stand within the gates of glory. What do you see, what do you touch and smell? Life, color, beauty! Flowers that won’t fade, Tree’s full and green. Animals running freely, lions laying down with lambs! Wait, there’s Mom and Dad, they are young and strong!

Turn with me, and see him walking toward you. The almighty Christ, the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Great I AM! He’s right there in front of you now. Christ, himself, reaches out his hand and runs his thumb under your eyes, wiping away your tears. His voice flows, soothing every sorrow, every fear.

Listen carefully, you’ll hear him speak. “You have run the race, completed all I have asked of you. Well done Child, welcome home.”

When I have those days, I close my eyes, and when I open them again I know when I see Christ face to face, it will have been worth every tear, every battle, every scar upon my body and upon my spirit. I put one foot in front of the other and press on. I have a race to run.

No Tears on Heaven’s Shores

May 2017 By Editor

And He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be sorrow and anguish, or crying, or pain; for the former order of things has passed away. And He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also He said, “Write, for these words are faithful and true [they are accurate, incorruptible, and trustworthy].” And He said to me “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the one who thirsts I will give [water] from the fountain of the water of life without cost.

NUTMEG’S CORNER

Editing 101

Rough Day I had a rough day today. Lauren went to work, and no matter how much prancing around I did, she still left. She keeps telling me someone has to bring home the bacon. Sad part is, Lightning loves bacon, not me. The geriatric cat slept all day. I tried to get her to […]
