My Prayer

May 2018 By Lauren

Almighty God, almighty Lord,
Great is your power, which cuts like a sword,
Awe filled I am at your mercy and grace,
That extends above all here in this place.

Unworthy I am, you see that I’m weak,
You know every downfall, for it’s you that I seek,
Fill me anew with your power of old,
As those in the bible with stories untold.

Open my eyes, to see all that you are,
Take me, my Lord, heal every scar,
All that I have and all that I am,
I place in your hand, show me your plan.

Forgive me, Oh God, for my weak human ways,
Give me your strength throughout all of my days.

Not Alone

September 2017 By Editor

Why fight this fight alone my child?
Why walk with sorrow near?
Why plunge through life with head bowed low
I want to make things clear.

I am the light that filters in.
The light that scatters night.
The light which shows the hidden path
Where love and hope take flight

I am the shelter from the rain
A refuge for your soul
A place for you to find your rest,
A place I make you whole.

I am the one in every storm
I’m in the raging seas
I am the one who will speak peace
Force winds to gentle breeze

Why fight this fight alone my child?
I long to have you near
To hold you close to my own chest
To wipe away each tear.

Merciful Love – Excerpt

June 2017 By Editor

Explosions of praise
Fill our hearts in array,
Beholding Your beauty,
Seeking Your face.

Standing amazed,
Beholding the cross,
At what You have done
A life that was lost.

Explosions of Glory,
Belonging to Christ,
Flows down before Him
With mercy and might…

NUTMEG’S CORNER

Editing 101

Rough Day I had a rough day today. Lauren went to work, and no matter how much prancing around I did, she still left. She keeps telling me someone has to bring home the bacon. Sad part is, Lightning loves bacon, not me. The geriatric cat slept all day. I tried to get her to […]
